An update from The Notepad

Hey everyone, long time no see! I honestly don't have a good excuse for dropping off the face of this newsletter for the last couple of months beyond the idea of putting together a post being a slight bit overwhelming, but that's something I'm working through in therapy.

Anyways, it's been a busy time and I have plenty of stories to share in upcoming posts: lassoing into a St. Patrick's Day parade, the hotel reservation that got cancelled in Washington, rain in Seattle, and of course plenty of shoots to come during the World Cup. You'll definitely want to stay tuned for all of it as it comes on Instagram and here.

Subscription Tiers

The pandemic really solidified my love for postcards as I received them from newly minted online friends around the world in months where I felt incredibly isolated. In a world that's filled with AI slop, social media companies prioritizing algorithms that nobody really knows how they work, and other nonsense, I keep craving offline forms of connection. It's why I started traveling in the first place, and it's why I'm excited to announce a new subscription to bring the world to your door.

Celine Ong (checkout their new book Hold Me Like a Grudge out next month) really inspired this charge with their immense interest in me putting out a floater about this, but this idea's been bubbling up within me for a while as a really accessible way to get photo prints to as many people as possible. I made a test run of prints a couple years ago but it's taken me so long to figure out a sustainable way to make the format work while still being economical to you.

I'm happy to say that I've now found it: I'll become best friends with my local FedEx Office and will be purchasing a great deal of stamps but I'm pleased to be able to make it happen. For $10/month, I'll send you a different postcard print every month and digital access to my Interlines zines as they release along with my wallpaper packs. It's truly everything I make in one go. You'll also be part of the first sounding board for me as I test new ideas both for this newsletter and elsewhere online.

In the interest of complete transparency, a $10 tier felt high to justify (but an unfortunate reality to factor in the cost of printing and shipping) so I'm also offering a digital-only $5 tier that'll include everything but the physical postcard.

Lastly, I want to say thank you for your patience with me and for continually supporting all that I do.
